Entropy Privacy Policy
Current versions of Entropy do not require any personal information and have no way of accessing any. Future versions may include user accounts in which case this policy will be reevaluated.
Entropy backs up user settings in their iCloud account but does not attach any data to personal information. The developer does not have any way of accessing this information and does not intend to. This functionality is solely for the benefit of the user in case they ever reinstall the application.
As of Version 2.3, build 22, Entropy sends analytical data to a database on AirTable. This data is completely anonymous to the developer and is not visible to any other user. When uploading data, the only data from the table Entropy has access to is one of two unique identifiers assigned to each user. This identifier in particular allows Entropy to find the user's data record so it may update the data as necessary. Again, no data identifies the user directly. It is anonymous to the developer and not accessible to any other user or entity.
As of writing this, the data includes:
-App Version / Build Number
-App Icon Choice
-Number of Times Entropy has been opened
More statistics may be tracked in the future.
Entropy may upload generated episode data to an external API to retrieve more information about the episode but this is not user data, that is information the app already has access to.
Users may email the developer directly from the app but this only checks whether or not the user has an email registered on their device. Likewise, if a user opens Entropy's Twitter profile or the developer's Twitter profile through the settings menu, Entropy checks if the user has the official Twitter app installed. If so, Entropy will use that app instead of the in-app Safari View Controller.
